	Harvey Creigh Hottes, age 70, of Ava, Monday, April 18, 2005 in St. Joseph's Hospital, Murphysboro.
	Harvey was born on June 25, 1934 in rural Pinckneyville, a son to Louis G. and Anna (Weil) Hottes.  He married Nancy Carrol Stahlheber on July 28, 1956 and she survives.  He was a veteran of the United States Army.  He was a farmer, and a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ, Pinckneyville.  He enjoyed restoring tractors, collecting toy tractors, deer hunting and loved his home and family.  He also had a special, secret project - a barn that he was restoring.
	Survivors include his wife: Nancy of Ava, two sons: Perry Hottes and fiancee Tami VanZant of Pinckneyville, and Paul Hottes of Ava, one daughter: Patina and Bartt Glodo of Sparta, two brothers: Louis D. and Pamela Hottes of Lake Placid, Fla., Scott and Leah Hottes of Cape Girardeau, Mo., one sister: Leah and Earl Queen of Nashville, seven grandchildren: Lauren Hottes, Morgan Hottes, Ryan Glodo, Kendra Glodo, Lance Glodo, Kaylee Kilpatrick, and Kinsley Kilpatrick, one great-grandchild: Trinity Glodo, and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
	He was preceded in death by his parents.
	Funeral Services will be held at Pyatt-Harrawood Funeral Home, Pinckneyville on Thursday, April 21, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. with Brother Tim McIntyre officiating.  Interment will be at Creek Paum Cemetery, rural Vergennes.
	Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday, April 20, 2005 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and again on Thursday from 8:00 a.m. until the time of services.
	The family would prefer memorials to Creek Paum Cemetery Association in lieu of flowers.
